Have you filled out your survey?
In a joint project with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (PDA), the Entomology and Horticulture Departments at Penn State sent out surveys to nursery growers and landscapers to determine how well they are implementing IPM.
The PDA-funded survey asks growers and landscapers about their current IPM practices, how well they think their IPM programs are working, and what their educational needs are.
A total of over 3,600 surveys for nursery growers and landscapers were sent out over the last several months, but, according to Jim Sellmer, Assistant Professor of Ornamental Horticulture at Penn State, its not too late to send them back in. "We understand it's a busy time of the year, but if you get a chance to fill it out, please do. It only takes about ten or fifteen minutes," Sellmer explains. And, those who send in their completed survey will be entered into a raffle to win a chainsaw.
