Green Industry

The green industry is Pennsylvania's fastest growing agricultural industry. It includes the production of non-food plants such as turf, ornamental trees and shrubs, interior decorative plants, etc. In addition to the original production of the green industry crops, this section covers these crops as they move through the wholesale and retail distribution chain also.

There are many pests that attack plants important to the green industry. Just as in the management of pests in food crops, IPM is the favored approach in the management of pests on green industry crops.
