Fountain Hill Elementary
The pictures below were taken at Fountain Hill Elementary on April 19, 2002. The BugMobile! and its pit crew (PA IPM staff and volunteers) visited the school to do an all-day workshop on insects and pest management for 4th and 5th graders, complete with live insects and the talking VW ladybeetle--The BugMobile! Other activities included a cricket hop experiment where students compared how far they could jump to the huge distance a cricket can hop, a smell and sound activity to explain insect pheromones, an opportunity for kids to use microscopes to examine insects "up close and personal", and an insect zoo with insect collections.
